Middle Java Developer

We are seeking a skilled Middle Java Developer to join our team in Gdansk. You will be part of a team that provides end-to-end delivery in their business area, from business requirement clarification through implementation, testing, deployment, and supporting operation teams in managing service performance in the production environment.
This position requires working from the office twice per month.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a developer within an agile team, adhering to the team's SDLC processes
  • Work closely with the Product Owner, Architect, and team members to clarify and prepare for the implementation of requirements
  • Push forward the implementation of features that meet both functional and non-functional business requirements, adhering to architectural guidelines and engineering principals
  • Engage in the code review process, contributing as both reviewer and reviewee
  • Team up with Quality Engineers to test implementations and make necessary adjustments upon defect discovery
  • Proactively identify risks, issues, and areas for improvement in technology designs, codes, and team processes
  • Communicate identified problems to the team or Team Lead as appropriate
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing within the team and participate in learning opportunities from fellow team members

  • 2+ years of experience in software development, with focus on SDLC, testing, and deployment practices
  • Proficiency in Java 17+ and Spring Boot Microservices
  • Background in Spring REST, Data, and Security frameworks
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes and the management of microservices using AWS EKS
  • Experience with databases such as MySQL and caching technologies like Redis
  • Competency in AWS tools like S3, Elastic Cache, MSK (Kafka), and RDS
  • Understanding of monitoring tools including Grafana, Prometheus, Kibana, Instana, and CloudWatch
  • Knowledge of Jenkins for continuous integration and delivery
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills essential for team collaboration
  • Qualifications in Agile delivery methodologies, preferably Scrum
  • English language proficiency at B2+ level
