Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java and affiliated technologies
- Optimize and write advanced SQL queries for large data volumes, maintaining database integrity and efficiency
- Collaborate with functional analysis teams, QA, and other departments to align solutions with business requirements
- Conduct code reviews, endorse best development practices, and uphold software quality standards
- Participate in the planning and design of new features, offering ideas and improvements for system architecture
- Collaborate with the architecture team on technology definitions and provide solutions for complex issues while ensuring code quality
- Investigate and address complex performance and scalability issues
- Document the code and solutions developed thoroughly
- Stay informed on the latest trends in Java development, relational databases, and telecommunications technologies
- 2+ years of experience in Java development including technologies such as J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, JPA, and JDBCTemplate from Java
- Proficiency in microservices processing with Spring Boot, including WebFlux, RestController, and Swagger
- Solid experience in SQL, capable of designing and optimizing relational databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, and PLSQL
- Background in developing high-performance, scalable applications and managing large data volumes and query optimization
- Understanding of version control tools like Git and agile methodologies including Scrum and Kanban
- Capability to identify, debug, and resolve complex software issues
- Good communication skills with the capability to collaborate effectively with functional analysts, testers, and other developers
- Skills in microservices development and service-oriented architecture (SOA)
- Familiarity with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins and Maven
- Experience in Code Review and Optimization with tools like SonarQube
- User-level knowledge of OpenShift
- Experience or knowledge in stress testing management with tools like JMeter or Gatling
