We are currently seeking an experienced Lead DevOps Engineer to be a part of our team, focusing on cloud deployment and solutions architecture.
This role requires close collaboration with cloud deployment and solution architect teams to ensure effective cloud solutions are implemented using a range of virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) technologies, including Azure and AWS. The candidate will be responsible for defining standards, managing lab environments, documenting deployment requirements, and guiding teams in the optimal application of cloud technologies.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cloud deployment and solution architect teams on proof of concepts to evaluate customer management environments
• Set standards and governance for deploying and operating SLB solutions with preferred VDI technology
• Manage lab environments for testing and validation purposes
• Develop and assist with the functionality, configuration, and scalability test plans for SLB-connected petrotechnical applications in selected VDI technologies
• Document deployment requirements for test plans and create deployment playbooks
• Train and mentor cloud deployment and solution architect teams

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps
• Strong practical experience in VDI technologies focusing on Azure and AWS cloud technologies, including Azure AVD and AWS Appstream 2.0
• Background in solutions deployment showcasing proficiency in Python, bash, node JS, and PowerShell scripting
• Competency in RESTful architecture security principles
• Qualifications in GitHub infrastructure as code, specifically with Terraform and SaltStack
• Proficiency in cloud services models such as IaaS, SaaS, PaaS
• Expertise in Azure DevOps CI/CD, virtualization, and container technologies
• Background in cloud infrastructure deployment including firewalls, load balancing, network switching, and routing
• Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery, high availability systems, enterprise, and cloud storage management technologies
• Knowledge of database infrastructure

• Additional skills in VDI technologies such as VMware and LeonStream
• Further qualifications in GCP and AWS cloud technologies
