Lead DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead DevOps Engineer with expertise in both Azure cloud environments and on-premises Windows infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in creating and managing CI/CD pipelines, containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, and a proven ability to design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient DevOps processes for both cloud and on-premises systems.
This is a fully remote position that offers you the flexibility to work from any location in Armenia, whether it's your home or well-equipped offices in Yerevan or Gyumri.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain both Azure cloud environments and on-prem Windows-based infrastructure
  • Monitor and optimize system performance, scalability, and security
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment
  • Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for cloud and on-premises environments
  • Automate build, test, and deployment processes for applications hosted in Azure and on-prem environments
  • Integrate pipeline components with tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar
  • Implement and manage containerized applications using Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes (AKS and on-prem)
  • Ensure high availability, scalability, and resilience of containerized services
  • Implement secure DevOps practices, including secrets management, access control, and data protection
  • Ensure compliance with security standards and regulations for both cloud and on-prem environments
  • Set up and manage monitoring tools for system health, performance, and security
  • Respond to incidents, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis
  • Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, system administration, or a related field
  • Strong expertise in Azure cloud services (Azure DevOps, Azure Functions, App Services, AKS, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience managing on-premises Windows-based infrastructure
  • Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes for containerized application deployment and management
  • Experience with scripting and automation tools (PowerShell, Bash, Terraform, Ansible)
  • Proven ability to design and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure and on-prem environments
  • Strong understanding of security best practices and compliance standards
  • Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or similar
  • Experience with hybrid cloud environments
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Azure Monitor
  • Experience in managing databases and storage solutions in both cloud and on-prem settings
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Eagerness to learn and stay updated on emerging technologies
