EPAM Systems provides 24/7 support services for users of a major Cloud platform.
The Support team is distributed across multiple locations. We are hiring a Cloud Support Engineer to extend our multi-language team, based in Minato-ku, Tokyo, Japan.

Responsibilities
- Provide support to customers using various Cloud Platform products, solutions and APIs
- Offer 24x7 technical assistance as part of a global support team
- Adhere to notification and escalation procedures
- Maintain communication standards for operational issues with business units
- 3+ years of experience as a Systems Admin or Network Engineer
- Proficient in Linux/UNIX and Windows Server environments
- Skilled in setting up monitoring, performing performance audits, and optimizations
- Familiar with networking concepts such as NAT, DNS, firewalls, basic routing, and load balancing
- Experienced with network protocols (TCP, UDP, HTTP/HTTPS, REST, and SOAP), as well as layer-2/3/4 technologies, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP), IP-based network balancing, and security practices and tools (VPN and IPSEC)
- Experienced in troubleshooting Linux system performance issues related to CPU, memory, I/O, and SQL
- Native or Fluent Mandarin communication
- Business level English (B1+ and higher according to the CEFR, or 750 and higher points on TOEIC)

- Experience with virtual machines (Google Compute Engine, VMware, Amazon EC2), and knowledge of BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and CloudSQL
- Proficient coding skills in Java, Python, C++, or similar languages, and familiarity with MongoDB and Hadoop on VMs
- Experience managing distributed systems and clusters, an understanding of web and mail protocols (HTTP, TLS, SMTP), and the ability to train others in ITIL/ITSM processes, contributing to process improvement
