The primary function of the Marketing Communications Specialist (MarCom specialist) is to support the strategy through development, execution and measurement of marketing communications activities for assigned businesses and market segments. The MarCom specialist develops results-oriented content with value-driven messaging that resonates with key target audiences at all stages of the sales funnel. The successful candidate is skilled at managing a high-volume of projects at once and is experienced with both traditional and digital marketing.
Responsibilities to include but not limited to:
• Understand all aspects of Eaton's brand voice, brand promise, brand attributes and brand standards; accurately represent Eaton in written and verbal communications to position Eaton as a leading power management company
• Coordinate projects and facilitate internal stakeholder reviews/approvals to ensure deliverables are completed and deployed according to schedule, budget and brand standards.
• Participate in the identification and implementation of improvement opportunities to drive functional excellence
• Support product launch activity using the prescribed processes and identify/support opportunities for promoting new products as part of a larger offering through audience-focused content and campaigns
• Support creation and execution of marcom related deliverables associated with in-person or virtual events
• Other responsibilities include archiving files, addressing literature backorders and assigning publication numbers
• Work closely with MarCom Managers to develop monthly budget forecasts based on project statements of work; provide accurate budget report and code and track invoices as necessary
• Collaborate with marketing communications (marcom) manager, copywriters and content developers to support various marcom tactics including but not limited website/digital, collateral, graphics, email, social media, advertising, and customer-facing events
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) qualifications:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited institution marketing, advertising, communications, or a related field
- Minimum three (3) years work experience in the application of digital marketing tactics (web, email, social, paid, etc.)
- No relocation is offered for this position. All candidates must currently reside within 50 miles of Moon Township PA, Beachwood, OH or Arden NC to be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ year of a voluntary career break from your profession
- Up to 10% travel may be required
- Traditional and digital marketing communications experience
- Experience in B-to-B marketing
- Experience working in scrum/agile teams
- Experience with tools in a marketing technology stack, including a web development platform (AEM preferred) and a content management platform
Skills:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Foundational knowledge of Adobe Creative suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, etc.) or similar
Eaton provides a competitive total rewards package commensurate with applicable skills, knowledge, and experience and consistent with internal and external market practices. The salary for this role is $90,000 a year.
