The expected annual salary range for this role is $65,000 - $95,700 a year.

What you'll do:

The Mechanical Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and fabricate modifications for field-installed units. This role requires effective communication with the Services support team, other design engineers, and additional personnel to implement field service modifications and provide technical information.

In this role you will:

  • Develop engineering assemblies and BOM associated Bill-Of-Materials (BOM) based on provided feedback utilizing SolidWorks.
  • Prepare mechanical engineering drawings and BOM for shop and field personnel to assemble products.
  • Ensure that mechanical engineering drawings and models are precise, of superior quality, and adhere to customer commitments.
  • Provide technical support for customers, engineering, and plant personnel.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with customers, distributors, Eaton sales personnel, and internal plant personnel to support quality customer service efforts.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Minimum six (6) months experience in a mechanical engineering role (Internship included)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Mechanical engineering from an accredited institution
  • Design and development of industrial equipment in the Electro-mechanical field.
  • Working knowledge of 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)
  • Understanding of design evaluation techniques such as reliability analysis, statistical tolerance stack-up, Failure Mode and Effect analysis (FMEA), etc.
  • Ability to read and understand Drawings, Specifications, and Requirements.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of engineering processes
  • Working knowledge of fabrication processes
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented individual
  • Collaborative orientation, the ability to succeed in a highly team oriented, global, and diverse environment.
