Eaton's AER FMC Fuel Motion Control Systems division is currently seeking a CNC Gear Tooth & Spline Milling Machinist 2nd Shift.
The hourly rate for this position is $33.62 per hour. The hours for second shift are as follows; 3:30 pm - 12:00 am.

The Fuel and Motion Control Systems Division of Eaton's Aerospace Group has an opening for a Certified Gear Tooth & Spline Generation Operator. This position is based in Euclid, OH and offering an hourly rate of $ 32.63.
The Euclid facility has approximately 300 employees and is a leader in the design, development, manufacture and delivery of Aerospace Fuel Pumping components, systems and services to the global aftermarket and OEM markets.

Position Overview:
• Set up and operate various gear tooth and spline generating machines to produce internal and external gear and spline configurations to precision tolerances.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections and maintain accurate documentation on a variety of parts in accordance with ANSI Y14-5 and certified operator program.
• Assistance may be given other operators on proper operational procedures.
• Perform housekeeping and other job related duties as assigned by foreman.
Essential Functions:
• Perform sub-assembly work.
• Set up consists of multitude of details involving balancing and securing wheel, dressing form and maintaining dimensional relationships using various dressing attachments, including CNC dressers, assembly and alignment of holding devices, establishment of gear ratios, parts traverse, establishing and coordinating all phases to produce specified size, form and finish.
• Set up, adjust, and operate manual and CNC hobbers, shapers, vertical broaching machines, and CNC mill, shaper and hob.
• Cut intricate contours, volutes, and splines and broach internal contours. Observe and correct machines, fixtures, tooling, and indexing mechanisms. Perform other job related duties as assigned by the foreman.
• Analyze and make required adjustments and corrections revealed by gear checking equipment.
• Obtain sketch, layout, tools, fixtures, and machine parts from crib, stockroom, or other locations. Change fixtures, cams, etc. Make adjustments as required. Install proper gears for number of teeth, feeds, and speeds.
• Use various gaging devices, such as micrometers and M&M gear checker, to check dimensional aspects and have parts graph plotted when checking form.
• Inspect tool cutters, maintain tool data reports, and recommend changes of tool cutter geometry. Inspect completed parts, remove burrs, nicks, and toolmarks. Straighten bent edges and repair rejected parts.
• Maintain accurate lot control (QCP 6.0) traceability, record keeping, log book entries, NCR's (QCP 11.0) and associated documentation.
• Move material within the cell.
• Perform minor machine maintenance.
• May be required to perform more than one operation at a time as directed by the foreman.
• May be required to burr work internal to the cycle.
• Chart, plot and react to data per SPC requirement. Load and unload Datamytes.
• Perform necessary part marking.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Complete an Eaton approved training program within 120 days.
• Must reside within a 50 mile radius of work location; no relocation benefit is provided.
• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
• Must become a certified operator within 40 days of becoming active on the code.
• Pass ATC vision test.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in milling machines or gear generating equipment experience, including 3 years CNC machining experience.
