What You'll Do
- Responsible for providing financial and business analysis support for one of Discover's business units.
- Develops and coaches teams to be able to identify, manage, and escalate risk, and effectively manages risk within the teams you oversee.

How You'll Do It
- Lead team responsible for forecast and actual consolidation for company, including explaining key drivers of variances to leadership and providing effective challenge to results.
- Partner with Investor Relations in quarterly earnings process by developing materials to explain financial results.
- Create financial and other presentations for Board, Executive Committees and company town halls.
- Drives revenue generating and expense efficiency initiatives by understanding business economics and effectively leading and influencing business.
- Develops financial projections to support planning and investment decisions. Provides advice and financial analyses to leadership for investment decisions, pricing changes, and the development of new products and offers. Monitors and assesses the return on financial investments. Leads an analytical approach to proactively develop insightful financial analyses.
- Develops and leads finance activities in area of responsibility which may include budgeting, short and long-term forecasting, revenue and expense driver analysis.
- Manages and develops a team of financial analysts to lead and execute the above activities while meeting key timelines.
- Conducts variance analysis and consolidation activities
- Collaborates with business partners (e.g, marketing, and operations) to develop robust financial forecasts and drive insightful analysis.
- Continuously improves and streamlines standard work processes.
- Creates and maintains models to understand long-term profit and loss impacts and drive business decisions.
- Performs detailed competitive analyses to drive strategic insights and actions.
Qualifications You'll Need
The Basics
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Business Administration and Management, or related
- 6+ years of experience in Financial Services, Consulting, Investment Banking or related
- 2+ years of people management

Compensation:
The base pay for this position generally ranges between $106,000.00 to $178,800.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
