Objective: The role primarily entails the management of Pan India Inbound and Outbound Logistics. Main responsibility is to ensure timely delivery of input materials from suppliers to manufacturing sites and delivery of finished goods to customers / depots. Person will have to work closely with planning team, manufacturing team and commercial team to ensure smooth logistics operations. Person will also be responsible to manage relationship with Logistics Service Providers and other functional teams.
Inbound Logistics:
- Delivery of Raw and Packaging materials from suppliers to Manufacturing sites
- Coordinating with units and suppliers to ensure efficient scheduling, communications and timely placement of trucks / Tankers

Outbound Logistics:
- Delivery of Finished Goods from Manufacturing sites and depots to depots & customers
- Work closely with Planning team to Forecast truck requirements during peak period / month end and ensuring availability of trucks.
- Proactively find solutions in case of anticipated disruptions
- Manage sudden changes in plan due to external factors / change in demand
Process Improvement - Data analysis & insights
- Ensuring breakages are within control and managed using systems
- Analyses logistics data to recommend and implement improvements
- Work closely with Logistics sourcing team to deliver cost improvements
Logistics Issue resolutions
- Managing Logistics issues like Accidents, truck detentions etc.
- Timely resolution of issues including insurance claims, cost recovery etc.
- Implement solutions to avoid recurring issues.
LSP relationship Management
- Manage strong relation with Logistics Service Providers
- Work closely with LSPs to proactively estimate probable disruptions and deliver alternate solutions to ensure serviceability
