About the Role
As a Senior Brand Manager with Shopper expertise, you will lead the development of brand and shopper marketing strategies that influence behaviours and convert shoppers into buyers across multiple channels. This is a pivotal role combining creative leadership, strategic thinking, and executional excellence to drive growth.

You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including brand, category, and customer teams, to ensure seamless alignment between brand, customers and shopper activation. Your work will enhance Diageo's shopper understanding, translating insights into award-winning campaigns that build memory structures, drive behaviour change, and deliver Return on Investment.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Experience:

  • Proven track record in marketing, shopper marketing, customer marketing, or trade marketing roles.


  • Demonstrated ability to deliver transformational business results through innovative shopper campaigns.


  • Experience in managing senior stakeholders and building strong, trusted relationships.


Skills and Capabilities:

  • Strategic thinker with a creative flair for storytelling and brand-building.


  • Strong commercial and numerical acumen, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.


  • Highly skilled in multi-channel execution and omnichannel marketing.


  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and manage ambiguity.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:

  • Lead the creation and execution of integrated shopper marketing programs tailored to priority channels (e.g., grocery, convenience, e-commerce, B2B, on-trade).


  • Define channel blueprints and growth driver prioritisation to ensure impactful activation standards.


  • Partner with global and local teams to ensure creative assets are optimized for shopper conversion.


Executional Excellence:

  • Brief and manage agencies to deliver fit-for-purpose shopper marketing tools on time and within budget.


  • Ensure consistency in brand asset deployment to build brand equity and access memory structures.


  • Develop and implement robust measurement and evaluation frameworks to track behavioural change and financial outcomes.


Insight-Driven Marketing:

  • Build a deep understanding of shopper behaviours, missions, and decision-making processes across diverse channels.


  • Leverage data and insights to craft compelling shopper journeys and omnichannel experiences.


Collaborative Partnerships:

  • Build trusted relationships with customer activation teams, ensuring programs are adaptable and meet specific customer needs.


  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including consumer marketing, category, and innovation, to align on strategy and execution.
