Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading the commercial performance of our biggest and most strategic national customers via rigorous commercial management; unlocking growth and maximising sustainable profit delivery
  • Relentlessly seeking opportunities to drive our performance forward through great customer management, activation and sell out initiatives
  • Creates the conditions for an amazing relationship with the customer through great cross-functional behaviours and ways of working; Own both the day-to-day customer relationship and our long term strategic outlook through effective partnership, negotiation, conflict management/resolution skills. Lead with the ability and confidence to make recommendations and course correct when required to ensure activities are successfully delivered.
  • Driving connectivity across our field sales teams nationally, and within our customer teams, in order to drive Diageo's sales out and market share
  • Lead excellence in our channel programme activation with rigorous attention to detail and a pride in delivering great outcomes
  • Ensure stability of the back office management and constantly look for ways to improve processes on your account and across the team. Hold high accountability that all customer data and information required to support the customer relationship is rigorously and robustly managed

  • Delivering annual financial, market share & executional objectives in full
  • Development and implementation of a collaborative Joint Business Plan, with focus on 100% implementation to maximise the return on investment to deliver the required brand and profit targets

Essential experience required

Must have commercial experience, with at least 3 years at NAM level (additional, broader cross functional experience is encouraged), that demonstrates:
  • Excellent relationship-building skills
  • Strong ability to drive problem solving and resolve conflict
  • Robust commercial understanding, P&L literacy -highly developed numerical and analytical skills - demonstrating clear analytical rigour and commercial approach with great reporting/excel/system
  • High learning agility with commercial curiosity and a track record of exceeding expectation
  • A clear ability to interact with senior collaborators and deliver change through different levels
  • A pragmatic desire to harness the strengths of the wider team to drive bigger outcomes through a long range view that focuses on company delivery.
