Finance & Performance Finance GenAI Senior Consultant - Techno-Functional
Finance & Performance - Unlocking financial performance and enterprise value. We work as trusted advisors to CFOs, COOs, CIOs, and other key executives to advise, implement, and deliver as-a service solutions, improving finance, shared services, and real estate operations, and helping clients develop strategies to support enterprise-wide decision making.

Work you'll do As a Senior Consultant, you'll collaborate with diverse global clients across a wide range of industries. You will have a variety of client-facing responsibilities such as evaluating, piloting, and implementing predictive and generative AI technologies and other next-gen Finance technology enablers. This involves diagnosing issues using advanced analytical techniques, interviewing staff and clients, formulating recommendations, making recommendations, and helping deliver/deploy AI-enabled solutions.

The Team
Finance Insights & Transformation
Our FI&T team transforms Finance from function to dynamic capability. As finance cycles converge, we advise, implement, and operate best-in-class solutions across actuals and forecast to accelerate insights including finance and analytics, planning, FP&A as-a-service, finance technology strategy, and ERP-enabled finance transformation.
FinanceAITM
Our FinanceAITM team automates, accelerates, and augments the Finance function leveraging the power of data and AI models. As CFOs are challenged with increasing demands for real-time financial decision making, we advise, implement, and operate innovative AI solutions (both Generative & Predictive) that address their needs. Our team helps clients navigate the dramatic shift to AI, ensuring that Finance function is a dynamic, forward-looking, and integral part of the business.
Qualifications
Required:
• Five plus years of relevant experience, either in Consulting within a professional services environment, or in Industry architecting and deploying Artificial Intelligence and other technical solutions.
• Strong ability to explain complex AI concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Skilled in translating technical design into a clear, functional AI product roadmap and collaborating with cross-functional teams (e.g., data scientists, engineers, finance, and business stakeholders) to prioritize development features across multiple phases.
• Understanding of Finance business processes, including FP&A, Strategic Finance, Business Unit Finance, Controllership (Close & Consolidations), Tax, Treasury, Management and External Reporting, and Investor Relations.
• Strong ability to architecting generative AI solutions across the full technology stack, including the infrastructure layer (e.g., Nvidia, AWS, GCP, Azure), model layer (e.g., GPT-4o, Claude, Llama), and application layer (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini).
• Experience with product prototyping and design mock-ups leveraging product management tools (e.g., Figma).
• Experience developing AI solutions (proofs of concepts and/or scaled solutions) that leverage generative AI to demonstrate value and get stakeholder buy-in.
• Experience building systems (AI and non-AI) on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) to optimize the solution and align with business needs.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Computer Science, Data Science) from an accredited university.
• Ability to travel up to 50%, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
• Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.
Preferred:
• Bachelor's degree from a STEM-designated program (master's degree is a plus).
• Accredited with Artificial Intelligence (AI) or Machine Learning (ML) certifications (e.g., AWS, Google Data Analytics, Microsoft Azure).
• Experience identifying use cases where generative AI can add value and prioritizing based on AI value frameworks.
• Experience connecting applications or services using APIs (Application Programming Interfaces).
• Knowledge of best practices in training, evaluating, and deploying generative AI responsibly and ethically.
• Experience in Finance Transformation, Accounting, or a related field with familiarity of process improvement, ERP and/or EPM systems design and implementation, data management and analysis, and project management.
• Experience designing and developing proofs of concepts the leverage agentic AI for end-to-end process automation.
• Experience defining and measuring KPIs and metrics for generative and predictive AI projects to evaluate success and identify areas of improvement.
• Proficiency in creating comprehensive technical documentation and user manuals for AI solutions.
• Experience with pre-sales, proposals, and RFP activities.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills; professional competence in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
• Experience mentoring and coaching junior staff.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $124,950 to $208,250.
