In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

Optimize Inventory Levels : By using statistical analysis and validated planning parameters, you'll ensure optimal inventory levels, reducing excess stock and minimizing shortages.

Align Supply and Demand : You'll synchronize the supply plan with the demand plan, driving stability and efficiency in the supply chain.

Enhance Health, Safety & Environmental Standards : Reporting any work-related incidents and complying with HSE standards will contribute to a safer and healthier workplace.

Ensure Quality Compliance : Performing quality checks on planning parameters and following standard work procedures will maintain high-quality standards and support the Plan for Every Part (PFEP).

Conduct Supply and Demand Analysis : Highlighting areas of concern for the next 12 months and running simulations to analyze the impact on KPIs will help in making informed decisions.

Monitor and Adjust Planning Parameters : By keeping an eye on abnormal demand and stock levels, you'll make necessary adjustments to maintain balance and efficiency.

Foster Effective Communication and Teamwork : Communicating effectively within your team and with support teams will ensure smooth operations and collaboration.

Participate in Continuous Improvement Projects : Engaging in improvement projects will help enhance processes, safety, and material flow, contributing to overall business goals.

Utilize Materials Planning Systems : Leverage the materials planning system to manage supply and demand plans, taking long-term corrective actions based on root cause analysis, and occasionally using ad-hoc tools for problem-solving.

Apply Plan for Every Part (PFEP) : Use PFEP principles to ensure the right parts are delivered at the right time, in the right quantity, and to the right place, ensuring smooth operations across the supply chain.

Manage and Optimize Inventory : Use analytics and algorithms to determine optimal inventory levels, provide guidance on planning parameter refinement, and develop inventory strategies that align with Cummins' overall strategy.

Manage Materials KPIs : Assess supply chain performance against expectations, interpret KPIs to understand end-customer impact, and strategically balance trade-offs to influence KPIs while minimizing negative impacts.

Master Network Supply Planning : Use statistical analysis and collaborate with other disciplines to align the supply plan with the demand plan, balancing supply and demand to achieve financial and service objectives while stabilizing the supply chain.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

Prefer significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience in an equivalent field such as materials planning, production scheduling, manufacturing, or inventory control. 5-7 years of relevant work experience preferred.
