The role of Supply Chain Global Controller is responsible for leading operational and technical controllership activities for GE Aerospace's global Supply Chain Division, with includes both domestic and international site locations. This includes ensuring technical accounting compliance with US GAAP for supplier agreements and inventory costing, delivering accurate and timely financial information to internal and external stakeholders, improving internal controls over financial reporting for inventory, fixed assets, and accounts payable, and driving process improvement and simplification, including the Division's initiatives to reduce the monthly close cycle time. This role will partner with the Supply Chain Finance, Operating, and Digital Technology teams to improve transactional processes and systems, eliminate waste in the closing and reporting processes, and provide solutions / implement best practices to business challenges.

Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Responsible for direct leadership of the Supply Chain Controllership team and indirect oversight of site-level finance employees with responsibility for accounting activities. Oversee transactional accounting processes and the monthly financial closing processes for the global Supply Chain ensuring compliance with US GAAP in the financial statements.
- Implementing a monthly financial statement review package to be used with Supply Chain leadership, including key financial statements and metrics with commentary.
- Ensuring the integrity of financial reporting data through the implementation and execution of internal controls over financial reporting for Supply Chain.
- Supporting the Sourcing deal review process and reviewing supplier agreements to identify complex terms and conditions and potential accounting matters (i.e. embedded derivatives, take-or-pay contracts, vendor liabilities, etc.). Understand and interpret applicable accounting standards and recommend accounting conclusions, including documentation of such conclusions in memos for internal files.
- Partnering with the Digital Technology and Supply Chain operating teams to design, build, test and implement improved financial systems for specific Supply Chain sites and Source-to-Pay and Inventory costing processes.
- Leveraging FLIGHT DECK to drive transactional process improvement and simplification projects. Understand wing-to-wing accounting processes and leverage transactional lean tools to implement process improvements that result in reduction of monthly closing cycle time, elimination of manual processes, and stronger financial controls.
- Key contact for regulatory and external auditors for Supply Chain, ensuring timely completion of all statutory filings and both US GAAP and statutory audit requests required across the Division.
- Oversee and monitor financial and operational compliance at all Supply Chain sites.
- Lead a team through coaching and mentoring direct reports, with ability to attract and retain talent.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university or college
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in an accounting or finance position
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
- Proven capability to plan and execute several projects simultaneously
- Proven ability to deliver results on time
- Ability to influence and drive results in a matrixed organization
Desired Characteristics
- Aerospace or Industrial Manufacturing industry experience
- CPA, CA or equivalent
- Experience in transactional process improvement, system implementations, and implementing controls in financial processes
- Detail oriented and strong time management skills
- Flexible approach with a strong team spirit
- Comfortable to execute through uncertainty
