DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Skilled Technician - Level III to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in Jamestown, NY.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Ensuring Safety : By stopping work and reporting any major injury hazards, you will help maintain a safe working environment and promote a culture of safety.
- Adhering to Standards : Complying with HSE standards, policies, procedures, and regulations ensures that safety and environmental guidelines are met, protecting both employees and the environment.
- Maintaining Quality : Applying high standards of workmanship and craftsmanship, and performing quality inspections, will help maintain the integrity and reliability of the manufacturing process.
- Supporting Equipment Uptime : By supporting equipment uptime and performing failure analysis, you will contribute to the smooth operation and efficiency of the manufacturing process.
- Providing Guidance : Instructing and coaching others and acting as an informal resource for team members with less capability, will help build a knowledgeable and skilled team.
- Performing Maintenance : Conducting preventive, emergency, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities will ensure that equipment is always in optimal condition, reducing downtime and improving productivity.
- Continuous Improvement : Participating in continuous improvement activities and working with peers to solve problems and improve processes will drive innovation and efficiency in the manufacturing process.
- Effective Communication : Communicating effectively with your team and support teams will foster collaboration and ensure that everyone is aligned and working towards common goals.

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.
QUALIFICATIONS
Additional Information:
This role will become the lead go-to source on 3rd shift for this Team, as well as others in the plant who have come to rely on this person for their knowledge and experience.
This position takes on complex routine work involving various styles of hoists throughout the plant, as compared to the general PM work completed by the grade 3 team members.
PMs are completed for ATF and Machining including inspections, filters, fluid changes and troubleshooting to avoid line shut down.
Continue to drive change suggestions, often implementing the fix, engaging with trades, and being their right hand for completing a job.
This position requires a SME on Demag and Indiva as well as the crane installation, maintenance and repair with OJT.
Experience running the electrical and required air to said systems.
Support Build Cart Repair and Team Manager, assisting during interview/testing for new hires, and 3rd shift core team with technical duties.
Certifications in 70E (electrical), Hoist Inspection, Hoist Maintenance, Fork truck, Stubby, Cushman and all Lifts.
Rigging and signaling, JEP electrical classroom training, Hot Work, WAH, Confined Space.
Authorized classroom trainer for LOTO on 3 rd shift and a classroom trainer for Hoist Operation Trained management, skills team, assembly workers, etc. based on required training needed.
