DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Production Support Associate Level IV - 1st Shift to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in Columbus, IN.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Support Manufacturing Processes : By performing highly skilled non-production activities, you will ensure that manufacturing processes meet quality and productivity requirements, contributing to overall efficiency and safety.
  • Lead and Coordinate : Acting as a formal resource, you will lead and coordinate others, providing guidance and support to team members, which will enhance team performance and collaboration.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Significant work experience and in-depth knowledge obtained through specialized training and relevant experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

Additional Information:

  • Must be Team-oriented, driven to succeed and be a leader.
  • This position will oversee a group of technicians in their daily duties, monitoring their safe practices, quality of work, and continuous development.
  • Operate and maintain process equipment, including Robots, HMI's, Parameters, and control systems. Perform routine inspections and maintenance activities to identify and resolve equipment malfunctions or abnormalities.
  • Troubleshoot process-related issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to develop and implement process improvements, including efficiency enhancements and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, environmental standards, and safety procedures. Train and mentor junior technicians and operators on process operations, safety protocols, and equipment maintenance systems.
  • Participate in safety meetings, incident investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain accurate documentation of process parameters, equipment logs, maintenance records, and production reports.
  • You will need to be able to use hand tools and lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly in certain situations.

Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate's qualifications and experience, where appropriate.
