As a Production Support Associate at JPMorgan Chase within China Securities Technology team, you'll use both creative and critical thinking skills to maintain application systems that are crucial to the daily operations for multiple line of business.
Successful candidate will work collaboratively in teams to establish and maintain relationships with business and technology stakeholders, sort out stakeholder's inquiry properly, delivery stable technology application services with timely escalation, root cause analysis and resolution of production incidents, and proactively identify improvements to stability.
Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate with local and regional Technology/business/operations/vendor teams to ensure all accountable applications are appropriately managed and supported
- Manage day to day issues with the team including daily health checks of applications and processes, working closely with end users, development and Infrastructure teams, to prioritize and resolve and/or mitigate outages
- Ensure information controls, back-up and recovery strategies are in place across production environments
- Support local regulatory reporting, resiliency, audit and compliance activities from Tech perspective.
- Identify gaps and weaknesses in existing applications, work with AD team to design and implement remediation of these gaps, to enhance the stability of applications
- Track and escalate risks and issues to drive their timely mitigation/resolution. Support Tech offshore teams in regional/global projects rollout to China
- Follow regional production support practice on all onshore system support, ensure changes to the applications follow a disciplined change management processes including all documentation, reviews, and approval steps

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Extended technology experience ideally with financial service domain and at least 2 years' experience in production management, application support
- Strong application support skill, experience using tools like Geneos, Splunk, AppDynamics, with the ability to do DevOps
- Tactical thinking and strong analytical skills with high and fast learning capability
- Good mindset of risk management and cyber security
- Confident and organized with strong reasoning and influencing skills
- Fair writing and verbal commination in both English and Chinese
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience of working with internal audit teams and external regulators
- Knowledge of Trade Surveillance, Regulator Reporting, AML&KYC applications would be advantage
- Good Knowledge on Unix Shell, Python scripting, JAVA web-based applications, and Hands on experience in writing complex SQL queries, Stored Procedures and defining DB objects
- Networking / Infrastructure working knowledge a plus
- High level of independence, energy and integrity
- Ability to work in a demanding, fast paced environment and handle multiple, competing priorities and assignments at one time
