DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Senior Manufacturing Shop Operations Team Manager to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in Plainfield, IN.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Effective Team Management : Overseeing the daily activities of multiple production teams, ensuring smooth operations and meeting production targets.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Working with various departments to recommend and implement improvements in safety, productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.
- Guidance and Feedback : Providing clear guidance and constructive feedback to team members, helping them accomplish tasks and reach their goals.
- Setting Expectations : Establishing and clarifying responsibilities for team members, ensuring everyone understands their roles and objectives.
- Coaching and Mentoring : Acting as a coach and mentor to team members, fostering their development and growth within the company.
- Training Development : Identifying the training needs of team members and developing and implementing effective training plans.
- Housekeeping : Ensuring that the production environment is kept clean and orderly, contributing to a safe and efficient workplace.
- Continuous Improvement : Engaging in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, productivity, quality, and efficiency across production teams.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
College, university, or equivalent degree required.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
Intermediate level of supervisory experience required.

- Working hours: On-site position: 3:30pm - 2:30am Monday - Thursday, with overtime Friday - Sunday.
