DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Logistics Site Operations Leader to join our team specializing in Logistics in Florence, KY.
In this role you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Manage and develop supply chain capability; work with employees to set goals in training and development, performance, and career planning.
- Set the aim for the organization and ensure individual work plans are consistent with supply chain initiatives.
- Ensure Cummins values are demonstrated on-site, including championing diversity, community involvement, and right environment initiatives.
- Manage daily operations across functions to ensure a dependable and efficient supply chain.
- Lead continuous improvement projects that align with Cummins Operating System and Functional Excellence direction, leveraging common processes, tools, and information systems.
- Support Corporate Supply Chain initiatives and lead cross Business Unit planning processes to ensure intra-company alignment.
- Create common supply chain processes and procedures by establishing collaborative business partner relationships.
- Approach daily problem solving and continuous improvement opportunities strategically and tactically to achieve performance targets.
- Develop, understand, and improve necessary Key Performance Indicators.
- Analyze operational trends and develop corrective action plans.
- Address supply chain failures promptly to ensure operations stability; escalate as appropriate.
- Manage, coach, and develop staff; work with employees to set goals in training and development, performance, and career planning.

- Mode Selection: Analyzes shipment volumes and business requirements to select the appropriate transportation mode and equipment type for each lane. Balances cost, quality, and time to determine the optimal shipping method.
- Trade Knowledge Application: Applies knowledge of relevant trade regulations to Cummins processes and systems to minimize trade risks and costs. Ensures compliance with trade laws and regulations to protect the company's interests.
- Warehouse Operations: Utilizes warehousing tools, systems, and methodologies to meet defined metrics for inbound and outbound operations. Ensures efficient and effective warehouse operations to support business goals.
- Project Management: Establishes and maintains the balance of scope, schedule, and resources for projects. Ensures that project results and impacts are fully realized and aligned with business objectives.
- Supply Chain Knowledge: Influences and explains the multi-disciplined and end-to-end integration of information, products, and services flow. Balances inventory, cost, and delivery tensions to achieve desired results for the end customer within first-fit or aftermarket business segments.
- Values Differences: Recognizes and appreciates the value that different perspectives and cultures bring to the organization. Promotes an inclusive environment where diverse viewpoints are respected and leveraged for better decision-making.
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
- College, university, or equivalent degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related subject required.
- MBA preferred.
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
- Moderate level of relevant work experience required.
