DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Logistics Site Operations Leader to join our team onsite 2nd shift 3:00 pm-11:00 pm in Fridley, MN.

In the Logistics Site Operations Leader role , you will provide operations leadership for a small or medium-sized warehouse or Distribution Center, overseeing one or multiple shifts of warehouse operations, including transportation and packaging. You will ensure a safe working environment for all Cummins and contract employees and meet internal and external customer requirements through the Cummins Operating System.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways :

  • Provide leadership and drive improvements in warehouse operations, focusing on safety, quality, production, and cost.
  • Effectively communicate with customers, suppliers, stakeholders, and staff to ensure smooth operations.
  • Manage and develop supply chain capabilities, setting goals for training, development, and career planning.
  • Oversee daily operations to ensure a reliable and efficient supply chain and lead continuous improvement projects.
  • Support corporate supply chain initiatives and ensure alignment across business units.
  • Coach and develop staff, setting goals for performance and career growth, while championing Cummins values like diversity and community involvement.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Apply Trade Knowledge: Use your understanding of trade regulations to minimize risks and costs.
  • Oversee Warehouse Operations: Utilize tools, systems, and methodologies to meet metrics for inbound and outbound operations.
  • Manage Projects : Balance scope, schedule, and resources to ensure project results are fully realized.
  • Leverage Supply Chain Knowledge: Explain and integrate the flow of information, products, and services to achieve desired results while balancing inventory, cost, and delivery.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience

  • College, university, or equivalent degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related subject required. MBA preferred.
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
  • Moderate level of relevant work experience required.
