DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented and experienced Executive Assistant, in support of Chief Legal Officer (CLO) , to join our Corporate Legal team based in Indianapolis, Indiana .
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Enhancing Customer Experience : By acting as an extension of senior management, you will ensure a positive customer experience and represent senior management effectively.
- Streamlining Administrative Tasks : Your support in scheduling, writing correspondence, emailing, and overseeing visitors will keep operations running smoothly.
- Proactive Management : Anticipating the needs of senior management and managing their schedules will help them stay focused and productive.
- Efficient Travel Coordination : Arranging and coordinating travel, including handling expense reports and visa/passport requirements, will ensure seamless travel experiences.
- Information Management : Gathering, compiling, verifying, and analyzing information for documents will provide senior management with accurate and timely data for decision-making.
- Facilitating Communication : Ensuring smooth communication between senior management, coworkers, and external parties will foster strong relationships and clear understanding.
- Maintaining Confidentiality : Keeping management's records and files secure and confidential will protect sensitive information and build trust.
- Budget Oversight : Monitoring and approving standard expenditures will help maintain budgetary control and ensure office activities are within financial limits.

Education/Experience
- High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
- Significant work experience and in-depth knowledge obtained through specialized training and relevant experience.
QUALIFICATIONS
Additional Information
- Understands the annual business cycle and anticipates the SDGC's needs regarding preparation for and scheduling of activities.
- Manages their calendars, schedules meetings, calls and other interactions based on the priorities of the team, help prioritize tasks.
- Develops and understands SDGC's work styles and preferences; assumes responsibilities as requested by the stakeholder and team.
- Schedules travel (both domestic and international); applies for appropriate visas; completes expense reports in a timely manner.
- Understands business etiquette; establishes excellent working relationships with members within the department, other stakeholders/customers both inside and outside of Cummins.
- Uses appropriate tools for required work; ensures that all documents produced for the team are of the highest quality, accuracy, and completeness.
- Works with the CLO's Chief of Staff and Executive Assistant to ensure that business decisions are made in a timely manner while balancing the SDGC's other responsibilities and commitments; assists in scheduling staff meetings; arranges meeting space or virtual meeting tools; arranges catering (when appropriate); assists in any follow-up actions when necessary
- Initiates, develops, leads, and participates in improvement processes; actively participates in self and team audits.
- Understands the structure of the organization and maintains a strong network across departments; draws on network to answer questions, solve problems, and successfully execute responsibilities, all to help the SDGC stay proactive & prepared for tasks at hand.
- Prepares documentation for payment of vendors, consultants, and suppliers; submits request for payments into accounting system; approves transactions; may approve staff expense reports and other payment requests.
- Addresses other duties, as assigned.
