DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Area Parts Manager to join our team specializing in Service for our Cummins Inc. facility in Grand Rapids, MI.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Team Leadership : Supervising a team of Parts Specialists and warehouse staff, providing performance feedback, and fostering employee development and career growth.
- Inventory Management : Utilizing inventory control methodologies to manage physical inventory, ensuring customer expectations are met.
- Global Parts Support : Ensuring worldwide parts support for customers, OEMs, and the distribution channel, especially during complex new product launches.
- Policy Adherence : Ensuring policies and procedures are followed, productivity is achieved, and employee questions are addressed.
- Customer Relationship Building : Visiting key customers to understand their concerns, develop relationships, and analyze inquiries to identify recurring problems and recommend solutions.
- Resource Planning : Planning, prioritizing, and scheduling team activities and resources to ensure continuity of service.
- Cross-functional Collaboration : Liaising with other functional or operational area managers to integrate Customer Order Management activities with other parts of the business.
- Health and Safety Advocacy : Championing positive health and safety behaviors to create a safe and proactive work environment.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
College or trade based certification or experience equivalent in related field.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
Intermediate industry related experience required; either related to Parts, Service or Warehousing.
QUALIFICATIONS
Additional Information:
- The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing the Grand Rapids and Saginaw branch locations, with 15 direct reports—11 in Grand Rapids and 4 in Saginaw. Bi-weekly visits to the Saginaw branch are required from the home base in Grand Rapids.
- Candidates with a minimum of 10 years of experience would be preferred.
