The Medical Manager (MM) role is a scientific role within the Medical Affairs Germany team to implement the medical plan and act as a medical science expert. The purpose of Medical Affairs is to provide and gather scientific insights to/from all partners, and create data that translates into clear and strategic scientific exchange and medical education programs. These will affect recommendations, guidelines and medical practice to have a positive impact on health.
The role interfaces with other functions within Medical Affairs and across the organisation in Commercial, Regulatory, Market Access and other teams to ensure collaborative connectivity, and a focused medical approach to supporting country and regional our goals.
You will develop the Medical strategy for external engagement, including developing relationships with key external medical experts in the designated therapeutic area, coordinating advisory boards, medical education programs and scientific communications.

You will work with the commercial team on material and activities development and will complete review of materials and activities to ensure they are Code compliant.
You will also support the medical teams within CSL in other countries especially within the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland).
Accountabilities:
- Develop in-depth medical science expertise for designated disease area and products, including analysis of current literature, opinion and recommendations.
- Provide strategic medical/scientific expertise and guidance
- Work with marketing and other relevant staff to contribute to brand strategies and supporting materials for designated products in local and global markets.
- Provision of medical and clinical support to brand team in product launches, issues management, competitor complaints and recall situations.
- Provision of expertise to submissions and presentations to local and global government authorities, where relevant, to achieve recommendations of Seqirus products.
- Build relationships with Seqirus colleagues and medical staff in partner companies to ensure mutual sharing of main product information, issues management and competitive strategies.
- Be medical science expert in a range of circumstances e.g. Advisory Boards, seminars, conferences, calls on HCPs
Requirements
- A Master in Biological Science, Medical or Clinical discipline or Pharmacy with complementary experience in the pharmaceutical/ biotechnology/ healthcare industry preferably in vaccines; PhD in relevant field or MD
- At least 2 years' medical affairs or healthcare experience with specific medical science knowledge.
- Experience in influenza, infectious diseases, epidemiology, vaccines, public health and the German health care system
- Fluent in English and German
