Could you be our next Director, Business Development and Licensing? This is a hybrid role located in our King of Prussia PA, Waltham MA, Bern Switzerland or Melbourne Australia. office. You will report to the Senior Director, Business Development and Licensing, Transplant and Immunology.

You will be responsible, on a global basis, for the Transplant and Immunology Therapeutic Area related business development and licensing activities. This includes search and evaluation of new product opportunities, leading, global diligence and deal teams, and negotiating license and other complex agreements aligned with CSL's strategic goals

RESPOSIBILITIES:
  • Develop strategies for potential external opportunities, internal projects and for technologies to lead aligned business growth
  • You will identify and assess business development, licensing and M&A opportunities that achieve strategic plans and lead shareholder value
  • Provide licensing and strategic guidance during the new product evaluation process
  • Lead the continued evolution and implementation of business development activities incorporated into CSL's strategy, developing priorities, and action plans and presenting to senior leadership for their endorsement.
  • Lead senior, global diligence teams, defining, framing, and tracking due diligence activities to answer critical questions for specified opportunities
  • Present or coordinate presentation to senior executive teams of main findings that emerge from diligence findings
  • You will lead agreement drafting, negotiation, and deal closure, on a global basis for Transplant and Immunology Therapeutic Area licensing activities and for other areas as allocated by the Senior Director, Business Development and Licensing, Transplant and Immunology Develop deal valuations, term sheets, deal structures and overall strategies to maximize value for CSL and to fit with strategic needs
  • Lead in-licensing of new product opportunities and technologies and out-licensing of CSL projects / technologies that require a partner
  • Lead negotiations on a range of agreements including, research collaboration, option, material transfer, device/development and other R&D and commercial related agreements
  • Coordinate and validated modeling assumptions to Finance to support the deal valuation, and ensure understanding of relevant teams such as Research, Clinical, Product Development and Commercial

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's in science or pharmacy degree
  • Post graduate qualification in business is desirable
  • 7+ years of business development and licensing experience in academic tech transfer or pharmaceutical / biotechnology industry, including direct search and evaluation and transaction experience
