We are seeking a dynamic, passionate, and driven individual to join the Leviat Product Engineering team as a Product Application Engineer. Innovative products and services are at the core of our company and this position is tasked with providing technical assistance and engineering support for all product lines offered in North America. This position reports to the Product Application Supervisor.
The Product Application Engineer's main responsibility will be to work with internal and external customers to answer any technical questions they may have. You will also be providing design support for our products as they apply to project specific applications.
Responsibilities:
Specific job functions include but may not be limited:
• Interact and collaborate with contractors, engineers, architects and other professionals to resolve engineering related issues
• Manage time to meet requested due dates and respond to customers with a reasonable timeframe
• Perform structural engineering calculations as it relates to Leviat products to assist customers in using our products
• Provide exceptional customer service
• Provide internal and external presentations to assist in promoting Leviat Products
• Collaborate and effectively communicate with team members to complete projects
Qualifications (Education/Experience) And Required Skills
• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
• Not required, but preferred Professional Licensed Engineer
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the field of structural engineering as it relates either steel, cast in place concrete, precast or tilt construction.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, and be able to perform structural design
• Ability to use a variety of computer programs, including AutoCAD, Mathcad and Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access)
• Self-starter motivated and able to take initiative, with ability to start and finish a project on time
• Attention to detail
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organization skills
• Must be able to work closely with others
• Growth mindset with constant pursuit to learn and grow within role
