A role you will love.

This role is responsible for the financial management of Computershare Business Support Services (CBSS or Company), ensuring the integrity of the financial statements, complying with India financial regulations (including tax filings and payments), and championing financial success.

The role will have the following accountabilities:

  • Accounting: Responsible for ensuring the accuracy of monthly Company financials. Responsible executing the financial month end close process and overseeing accounting activities (calculating and recording journal entries, preparation and review of reconciliations, execution of controls, and performing monthly variance analysis) across managed team and Corporate shared services.
  • Financial Statements: Coordinate the drafting, audit and filing of annual Company financial statements.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with India regulations pertaining to tax, accounting, and treasury and oversee execution of related payments, collections, and filings. Monitor changes and implement processes to comply with changing regulatory environment.
  • Budget: a) Support Finance Controller in creating an annual budget to meet CBSS and Corporate Leadership financial goals, b) monitor actual spend vis-à-vis budget and, c) partnering with CBSS Leadership to implement cost savings initiatives.
  • Management: Provide management and leadership to a team of direct reports in line with Company culture to accomplish the Accountabilities. The team is envisioned to have India tax and general accounting experience.
  • Relationships: Develop relationships with key stakeholders from other departments, auditors, and colleagues from other regions.

What will you bring to the role?

key skills required for the role include:

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 6+ years of experience from a big4 firm or a similar entity that is part of a larger global business.
  • Working knowledge of IFRS and strong understanding of Indian GAAP.
  • Strong knowledge of India tax requirements.
  • Ensure accurate bookkeeping to ensure preparation and maintenance of accurate and complete Financial Reporting
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor a small team of finance professionals.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail and very good analytical skills are essential to the role.
