The Charles Schwab Corporation's Institutional Services group meets 'business-to-business' needs through Advisor Services, Retirement Plan Services, Corporate Brokerage Services, and Retirement Business Services. The National Business Development group is responsible for new business efforts overseeing Sales Support, Consultant Relations, Business Acceptance, and Sales Presentations & Proposals. The individual selected for the Business Acceptance Specialist position will be responsible for the set-up and analysis of new business proposals for all related retirement plan products and services.

The Business Acceptance Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the internal sales process within the various business units from the Request for Proposal to the handoff to Conversion. Their primary responsibilities will include the management of functional email boxes to ensure all sales support requests are documented in Salesforce, a task is assigned to the appropriate individual to complete the request and all details pertaining to that opportunity are saved to a centralized location for review. The Business Acceptance Specialist will be expected to prepare drafts of necessary documents needed throughout the Sales process for the client in preparation for Sales Finals Presentations, as well as for conversions. In addition, the Business Acceptance Specialist will be trained to do an initial review of an opportunity and identify key details that require further review, learn basic pricing functions and run reports when necessary.

What you have

  • 2+ years of relevant financial services experience in retirement plan administration or recordkeeping services; or stock plan administration
  • Proven ability to communicate technical information in a clear manner
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a high-demand deadline driven environment
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to self-manage project details and work with different organizational levels within the organization
  • Ability to operate independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail is imperative
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills with demonstrated experience in managing multiple, deadline-driven projects
  • Ability to quickly learn and gain in-depth understanding of existing and new products and services
  • Excellent Microsoft Word and Excel skills

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
