Job Description

Key Accountabilities:

Knowledge

  • Understand and be able to articulate & critically analysis the target market size, potential segments and impacts on the Product Marketing Strategy.
  • Understand and stay current on the market requirements: jobs, pains and gains of key personas.
  • Maintain current awareness of potential new and existing competitors and recommendation approaches in which to remain competitive in the market.
  • Develop own business knowledge of the activities and practices of own organisation and those of suppliers, partners competitors.
  • Actively seeks out new knowledge for own personal development and the mentoring or coaching of others.
  • Develops a wider breadth of knowledge across the industry or business.

Internal/Secondary Research Management

  • Gather input from internal subject matter experts and 3rd parties, document findings and facilitate consensus when needed.
  • Analyze and summarize findings.

Interview management

  • Collect input from interview sponsor, create interview template, setup interviews, document and summarize findings and conduct interviews when needed.

Survey Management

  • Collect input from survey sponsor, create survey draft, facilitate stake holder consensus, and help analyze results.

Market Development Analysis

  • Analyze and summarize the findings from market development and commercial marketing tests.

Research Projects

  • Identify and select the most appropriate methods and tools in which to yield the required results.
  • Work with relevant teams to ensure that plans are delivered in a timely manner and in line with establish KPI's.
  • Identify risk factors & key assumptions.
  • Track and report on the status of each research project.

Relationship Management

  • Identifies the communications and relationship needs of stakeholder groups.
  • Translates communications / stakeholder engagement strategies into specific activities and deliverables.
  • Facilitates open communication and discussion between stakeholders, acting as a single point of contact by developing, maintaining and working to stakeholder engagement strategies and plans.
  • Provides informed feedback to assess and promote understanding.
  • Facilitates business decision-making processes.
  • Captures and disseminates technical and business information.
  • Deals with problems and issues, managing resolutions, corrective actions, lessons learned and the collection and dissemination of relevant information.

  • Carryout any other reasonable duties as requested.

Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstratable ability to apply critical thinking to problems and tasks and actively contributes to thought leadership internally and externally of the organisation
  • Contributes to build and maintenance of an effective skills improvement training programme and encourages active participation
  • Maintains an up-to-date awareness of trends, tools, technology, techniques and processes with the marketing environment and ideal their effect on the Life sciences domain
  • A self-starter and able to work under own initiative
  • intermediate level experience in Microsoft packages including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Outlook

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Proven experience of working with CRM and collaboration tools
  • Proven experience of working with data analysis tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI) life sciences industry
  • Proven experience of running research projects using a variety of methods and tools
  • Experience of working in a Matrix Organization
  • Demonstrable experience in the same or very similar role
  • Demonstrable experience in clinical research, pharmaceuticals, or biotech
  • Relevant experience in product marketing, product management, strategic marketing, or related roles preferred
  • Experience in working in a team environment and making timely decisions under uncertainty


  • Experience in financial and market modeling to describe market opportunity
  • Must be a strong public speaker, comfortable in front of groups
  • Experience of working in and knowledge of the life sciences sector

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering, physical sciences, or related field
  • MBA preferred
  • Pragmatic Marketing Certified candidates strongly preferred
