Position Description:
The Trade Operations team as part of the Australian Global Operations team, the role is responsible for critical administrative tasks supporting client's trade financing requirements, partnering with clients, bankers, and key Global Operations teammates across APAC.
What you will do:
- Timely execution of client transactions related to the following: Commercial and Standby Letters of Credit, Bank Guarantees, Trade Loans, Risk Participation Loans, Syndicated Facilities, and Supply Chain Financing.
- Act as Trade service SME to clients, sales, bankers, Product teams and processing center.
- Investigate and resolve complex trade related enquiries and discuss any discrepancies in export/import LC documents with the clients.
- Ongoing client service related to all Trade Products supported by the bank.
- Review Guarantee and Standby Formats for compliance with bank policies and legal requirements. Oversight of transactions completed by the processing team to ensure transactions and fees are accurately captured.
- Regular liaison with internal departments to ensure documentation & processes are aligned with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain & update client Profiles for internal processing.
- Respond to Audit (internal and external) requirements and inquiries.
Your background:
- 5+ years' working experience in Trade Finance Operations with broad knowledge of Commercial and Standby Letters of Credit, Bank Guarantees, Trade Loans, Risk Participation Loans, Syndicated Facilities, and Supply Chain Financing.
- Good understanding of UCP600, ISBP, URC 522, URDG 758, and their application.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills and teamwork skills.
- Ability to plan and prioritize the daily activities and effective management of time.
- Work cohesively with all associates, stakeholders and actively promote an excellent team environment.
- Client focused and results focussed with a high level of customer service.
- Innovative and open minded with great communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Self-motivated, accountable, attention to detail with good organisational and time management skills to manage multiple completing deadlines.
