Intellectual Property Coordinator - AS&UX, EMEA

Aptiv's Innovation team seeks to recruit an experienced administrator or engineer to support the Intellectual Property (IP) team.

Are you interested in learning more about the crossover of technology and law? IP Coordinators assist at this crossover managing a core connection between engineering R&D and the IP team.

Core duties involve:

  • Assisting Aptiv's inventors with respect to the Record of invention (ROI) review process
  • Managing the intake of new ROIs and assisting with the ROI workflow between engineering orgs and in-house patent attorneys using the IP teams state-of-art IP management system
  • Organising ROI review board meetings and maintaining records of decisions
  • Maintaining and tracking a docket of key deadlines in the ROI workflow
  • Administering elements of the trade secret award process
  • Administering elements of the inventor remuneration process, particularly for German-based inventors, including managing agreements, remuneration payments and financial reporting with process stakeholders
  • Establishing inventor remuneration process improvements including tools and recognition scheme delivery
  • Providing other support to the IP team (invention generation and harvesting, assistance with presentations and reports to engineering orgs, etc.)
