Engineering Team Manager
Your main mission is to create and drive team of systems engineers to co-create innovative technologies anticipating and preventing car accidents and Innovate technologies which exceed needs of our customers.
You will collaborate closely with GPO and Region organization and all product stakeholders - from Project Managers, Product Chiefs, EPjLs, ETMs of Hardware, ETMs of Software to ETM of test and ETMs of validation teams.
You will be responsible for Technologies for Driver Monitoring, Cabin Monitoring based on various type of sensors with special focus on Vision engineering, Machine Learning and Radar technologies.
Major Accountabilities:
- Line Management of the Engineering Team in all development processes, in particular quality of technical content, quality of process and costs. Manage competency specific product development activities to meet APTIV / customer commitments
- Manage resource assignments to project teams to execute development programs
- Ensure that the team meets project targets in terms of content, quality, timing and cost
- Monitor project execution targets together with Project Lead and Competency Lead, adjusting if needed to changed situation within projects
- Support customer communication if required
- Attract, recruit and retain new talents
- Create Agile Work environment
- Ensure, training, coaching and mentoring of teams in Auto Scrum Agile / Lean and supporting tools
- Responsible to develop, guide, mentor, evaluate, train, manage and recognize employees
- Responsible for implementation according to development processes, development standards, development tools and building blocks
- Active participation in the further development and optimization of development processes and tools
- Drive and support enterprise continuous improvement (cost, quality, performance ,efficiency)
- Comply with applicable policies and procedures, including compliance to Competency design and methodology direction for Platform specific designs
- Management of external service providers, in particular the specification of the task, the selection of service providers as well as the monitoring of adherence to schedules, quality and costs
- Manage Budget & Capital Planning

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor, MSc degree in engineering
- Technical background for at least one of the following: Signal Processing, Vision Engineering, Machine Learning, Embedded Software
- 2 years experience on leader or manager position at least one of the following: Project Manager, Software Project Manager, System or Systems Team Leader, Team Leader of HW or Test/Validation team
- Ability to speak, read and write English
- Honesty in relation with company, clients and co-operators
- Methodical approach to problem solving
- Prior experience in automotive industry
- Willing to travel as required
- Flexible approach to working hours
- Commitment to ongoing projects and implementing improvements
