In this exciting and challenging role, you'll have the opportunity to engage with a wide range of domains within our strategic marketing analytics team. You'll take ownership of maintaining and improving existing solutions, while also developing new ones using cutting-edge analytical tools alongside our experienced technical experts and mentors. This is an entry-to-intermediate level position, designed to give you everything you need to succeed-the resources, mentorship, and opportunities to grow your skills, knowledge, and career within a diverse, highly motivated, and deeply supportive team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data ETL & Wrangling: Go-to person for extracting, transforming and loading data from various sources.
  • Querying & Dashboards: Use SQL to query and build tables from a datalake, designing dashboards using Tableau and ad-hoc reports, focusing on both functionality and aesthetics. Build dashboards that are both functional and visually impressive.
  • Financial & Marketing Models: Build and maintain financial and marketing models in Excel to support data-driving decision-making and forecasting.
  • Expert Orientation: Studies the data, formulates and tests hypotheses, validates or discovers business implications from the data, understands and can explain a dataset from the inside out.
  • Communicating Insights: Apply your understanding of the data and the business into meaningful insights, ensuring the audience understands the story behind the numbers.

Functional Knowledge

  • Intermediate to expert in ETL processes or concepts, SQL, Tableau, and Excel is foundational to success here.
  • Familiarity with data visualization principles and dashboard design that emphasizes user experience and accessibility.
  • Solid grasp of basic statistical analysis, attention to detail, pattern recognition, with ability to zoom in & out of a data landscape.

Business Expertise

  • Impacts high level strategic decisions across multiple departments and domains, so an understanding of- or rapid ability to learn- how data supports and how decisions are made in financial and marketing strategies is essential.

Leadership

  • Takes full ownership of projects, set timelines, and guide stakeholders in the right direction based on data and insights.
  • Champion for data-driven thinking and high quality dashboard design.

Impact

  • Immediate visibility and impact across the organization and business. Dashboards and models built will directly influence strategic initiatives.

Interpersonal Skills

  • Able to explain complex ideas in simple terms, exchanges straightforward information, asks questions and checks for understanding.
  • Collaborate with a variety of personalities, so being a team player with a friendly, open attitude is a must.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Strength with Tableau, SQL, and Excel. Basic statistics knowledge and critical thinker.
  • Track record of building dashboards and data models that are not just functional but delightful to use. Communicates with clarity and influence.

Ideal Requirements:

  • 2+ years of work experience or at least 3 major projects (e.g. personal, charitable, academic) that demonstrates analytical prowess, business or social acumen, and an ability to communicate with impact.
  • Advanced experience and command with Tableau, Excel, and data wrangling/ETL, especially with designing visually engaging and user-friendly dashboards and models.
  • Experience working with and connecting datasets from various sources and concepts from multiple domains.
