This role is responsible for continuously enhancing the data landscape by working with engineers to innovate on privacy-friendly data management and scalable data modeling, introducing novel features and functionalities, while simultaneously prioritizing cost-effectiveness. This involves thoughtful consideration of data storage and processing strategies.

Apple Services is seeking a detail-oriented Data Product Manager to oversee engagement data for multiple lines of businesses across our platforms. As a key player in this role, you will collaborate closely with data scientists, client, server, and privacy engineering partners, as well as legal teams to ensure the availability of reliable, privacy-friendly engagement data. Responsibilities: - Manage engagement data for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd party apps across Apple Services - Collaborate with engineering partners to enable data collection, dataset development, and innovative privacy-friendly data management solutions - Ensure compliance with global regulatory guidelines and work proactively to incorporate new regulations - Prioritize and manage projects to enhance the data landscape, introduce novel features, and optimize cost-effectiveness - Support business-critical initiatives by providing properly instrumented data for data science analyses - Develop and deliver a dataset strategy, synthesizing the needs of data science, business intelligence and engineering partners.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience working as a product manager, data scientist or data engineer
  • Strong Proficiency in SQL
  • Knowledge of the analytics needs of multiple functional areas of a technology business (e.g., engineering, product, data science, finance, marketing)
  • Excellent communication skills, especially with written technical requirements and executive-level presentations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven experience in data product management, with a focus in optimizing data processes for analytics use cases
  • Experience working with large, cross-functional teams spread across multiple locations
  • Strong understanding of large-scale data architecture
  • Knowledge of Data Governance & User Privacy
  • BA/BS degree required. Computer science degree or equivalent is preferred

Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $136,300 and $248,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
