This position responsible for leading complex accounting, financial analysis and reporting activities required to support enterprise accounting processes. Monitor and coordinate GAAP, statutory and management reporting.
You will be reporting to the Senior Manager, Accounting.
Position Compensation Range:
$86,000.00 - $142,000.00

Primary Accountabilities
- Prepare, coordinates, supervise and review higher complexity outputs.
- Review and approve ledger adjustments and reconciliations.
- Manage processes and projects and proactively identifies and leads process improvement.
- Serves as subject matter expert for unit tasks.
- Assists with guiding, mentoring, and coaching team.
- Ensure accuracy of all financial statements and management reports through high-level financial analysis and coordination with transaction processing units.
- Develop extensive knowledge of statutory and GAAP accounting principles. Research complex statutory and GAAP accounting issues and apply those principles to new and unusual transactions.
- Support internal and external audit staff with annual financial audits, and with audits of specific systems or operations.
- Prepare, coordinates, supervise and review the preparation of schedules, exhibits and footnotes in annual audited financial statements, quarterly and annual statutory statements, and specialized management reports for Enterprise leadership.

- Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service.

- Extensive knowledge of, and demonstrated experience utilizing, complex concepts related to accounting and accounting systems.
- Demonstrated experience with spreadsheets utilizing complex functions and formulas.
- Demonstrated ability to challenge how things have always been done, and improve processes.
- Solid knowledge and understanding of financial reporting, financial analysis, budget and forecasting techniques or internal controls.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
- Property & Casualty and/or Life insurance experience
- Workday experience
- Certified Public Accountant and/or public accounting experience
Licenses:
- CPA preferred.
- Up to 5%.
- Work that primarily involves sitting/standing.
