This position will play a key role ensuring for CHC that A2R Tax accounting processes are set up and consistently applied globally across all hubs in GBS.

GBS A2R Global Tax accounting Lead is accountable that optimized processes are implemented across a specific region / country, defines core business processes and way of working. Together with Digital solutions lead harmonizes tax reporting, simplify user experience following global policies and guidelines. He will be involved in GBS process delivery and improvements and will jointly monitor targets and projects implemented by GBS.

  • Set vision, strategy and performance objectives for tax processes
  • Establish partnering relationships with CHC Tax department
  • Confirm tax RACI globally on split of responsibilities between A2R GBS and CHC Tax department
  • Together with CHC Tax collect, maintain and monitor tax risks per country
  • Understand tax implication of Master Data in the systems and ensure that tax Master Data is consistently applied across hubs, propose actions to reduce risk and improve compliance
  • Provide process expertise to hub tax accountants, country HFOs and local accountants on MyTax reporting, Tax Master Data, CHC TP process
  • Regularly train hub teams, including A2R tax accountants, S2V and CI2C accountants on tax related activities

2. Develops and implements process harmonization and improvement initiatives:
  • Build and maintain stakeholder relationships across the regions (Tax, HFOs, HFPs, CHC IFSA) and drive standardization of processes to identify functional and cross functional improvements and harmonization
  • Liaise with A2R GBS Global Process Excellence Lead on core model updates
  • Together with country HFOs and supported by local external tax partner collect knowledge base of local tax accounting specificities, confirm exceptions in country Tax RACI and drive creation of local working instructions for VAT, WHT, income tax, property tax, etc.
  • Collaborate with Master Data team to ensure Tax Master Data is complete and properly used in ERP: VAT codes are correct, WHT operations are properly marked at customer/vendor/invoice level
  • Review ERP functionality is properly used by hub and local teams to create tax reports automatically and liaise with Digital Solutions Lead on automation/ customization needs
  • Together with Continuous Improvement team ensure that Change Management is addressed (people, processes, tools)
  • Collect improvement ideas from hub and local teams

3. Monitors process performance across the organisation
  • Regularly review tax compliance performance per country
  • Regularly review results of tax audits per country provided by HFO and Tax Manager
  • Regularly review risk log and mitigation actions per country provided by HFO and Tax Manager

4. Communicates with global management, regional hub teams and HFOs

5. Implement and Manages policies and procedures governing processes. Propose change in policies and procedures supporting optimized processes

6. Ensure Compliance and Internal Control/ SOX standards are met

About you
•Strong process knowledge with ability to redefine processes from end to end to support
Business needs
• 10+ years experience in tax accounting in multinational teams
• Degree in Accounting / Finance / Economics or equivalent
• Good understanding of accounting principles and IFRS (including deferred taxation)

• Experience with SAP R3 / S4HANA

• Effective collaboration skills with peers, stakeholders and partners across the organization
• Strong analytical skills to resolve critical issues and ensure programs stay on track
• Strategic thinking and process impact understanding
• Change agent with strong problem-solving skills
•Transversal mindset and ability to work across processes, geographies,
cultures, business maturity levels
• Fluency in English mandatory and other European languages are desirable
