Who We Are
Technical Solutions, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, is currently seeking a Logistics Support candidate that has a maintenance background/knowledge gained normally from military experience with knowledge of the ship's Organizational Maintenance Management System (OMMS) database. The selected candidate will be working with technical manuals and engineering drawings, to perform logistic technical evaluation of equipment and materials presented in these drawings and manuals in support of OMMS database. This position will be located at our NetCenter office in Hampton, VA. #LI-AK1
What You Will Do
- Provides support to the logistics function preparing logistics documentation to establish the range and depth of spares, tools, test equipment and related manuals to be deployed and stocked.
- Determines maintenance and repair materials required for deployment.
- Modifies maintenance records such as repair standards for more complex equipment or components.
- Develops requisitions for and manages records of equipment, components, repair parts and related manuals; tracks logistics materials and parts for proper allocation of storage facilities; reviews configuration changes to evaluate impact on logistics deployment; documents equipment, component and parts conditions; and identifies logistic support documentation to be included such as drawings, technical manuals, and maintenance requirement cards to support life-cycle of product.

What You Must Have
- High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience.
- An expertise in Navy Hull, Mechanical and Electric (HM&E) systems.
- Expertise in maintenance, repair, and the Navy preventive maintenance system.
- In-depth knowledge of Technical Manuals and Engineering Drawings, being capable to perform logistic technical evaluation of equipment and material presented in these drawings and Tech Manuals.
- Be capable of providing shipboard logistic technical support.
- Working knowledge of the Ship Configuration & Logistics Support Information System (SCLSIS) Tech Spec (TS 9090-700(series).
- Computer literate with the ability to be comfortable and proficient at a computer terminal manipulating data.
- Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
- A new Federal Executive Order requires that employees of Federal contractors and subcontractors be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 by December 8, 2021. Accordingly, as a condition of employment with Technical Solutions, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, employees will be required to provide proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 or submit documentation to be considered for and be approved for an exemption based on disability or sincerely held religious beliefs under the law.

Must be able to work in a shipboard environment. Must be able to lift, carry, transport heavy equipment and climb ladders.
