Essential Job Responsibilities

* DoD Interim Secret security clearance required to start. * The Logistics Support Specialist will be responsible for order, receipt, storage, issue and shipping of Contractor Acquired Material, Government Furnished Material and Company Tools according to procedures for task assigned. The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining the official documentation and issue files for HII-FSG, customer and government property for task assigned. Reviews material drawing BOM with orders with HII-FSG or customer supplied material and GFM. Essential Job Responsibilities Provides support to the logistics function preparing logistics documentation to establish the range and depth of spares, tools, test equipment and related manuals to be deployed and stocked. Determines maintenance and repair materials required for deployment. Modifies maintenance records such as repair standards for more complex equipment or components. Develops requisitions for and manages records of equipment, components, repair parts and related manuals; tracks logistics materials and parts for proper allocation of storage facilities; reviews configuration changes to evaluate impact on logistics deployment; documents equipment, component and parts conditions; and identifies logistic support documentation to be included such as drawings, technical manuals, and maintenance requirement cards to support life-cycle of product.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must possess an active Interim Secret security clearance, and receive a Secret Clearance after hire. • Must be able to obtain and maintain base credentials. • Understanding/knowledge of shipping and receiving of material and supplies and well as Government Furnished Material and Customer acquired material. • Understanding of how hazmat items are stored, shipped, disposed of • Knowledge of tools as they relate to inventory, issue and storage as well as Maintenance. • The ability to lift up to 40lbs • The ability to travel up to 75-100% of the time. • Strong computer skills, including demonstrable experience with data entry, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. High School and 2 years additional education or 2 years relevant experience.

Preferred Requirements

Navy Submarine Experience highly Prefered • Knowledge of Government and Contractor Acquired Material as it relates to inventory, issue and storage. • Experience in planning, drawing material kitting and preparation for installation tasking. • Experience with DLA system and DRMO processing systems.

Physical Requirements
Must be able to work in a shipboard environment. Must be able to lift, carry, transport heavy equipment and climb ladders.
