What you'll do:

Here's what you can expect on a typical day:

  • Lead team that ensures stellar service delivery to build and improve client satisfaction and retention. Ensure that each client implemented onto TotalSource experiences a complete and accurate tax implementation experience, which leads to reduced agency notices, tax amendments, and late original filings, and leads to higher client retention. Ensure that throughout their relationship with TotalSource, clients are supported in a timely and accurate manner as they experience business growth or changes that may change their taxing jurisdictions.
  • Lead team that ensures employment tax filing and payment obligations are met in compliance with PEO requirements and federal, state, and local regulations. Manage the integration of employer tax accounts into the co-employment relationship. Analyze employer tax accounts and consult with clients regarding tax account status, business changes, filing discrepancies, documents, and critical data gaps. Serve as the authorized representative between clients and taxing authorities. Research and resolve employment tax-related matters. Ensure tax accounts maintain a good standing status with taxing authorities. Provide support and guidance to clients, regions, taxing authorities, business partners, and third-party administrators regarding PEO reporting and employment tax matters.
  • Manage team performance to ensure demonstrated product and tax expertise, effective client support, and focus on client relationships.
  • Act as a client escalation point for the team and for TotalSource clients and partners in the business.
  • Personally build and maintain relationships with decision makers of clients on the team's base to facilitate retention of the client's business and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Direct activities within the TotalSource Tax Operations organization to meet profitability, growth, and productivity objectives.
  • Establish and implement key strategies for the client implementation and services function.
  • Develop and drive initiatives focused on process improvements throughout the tax implementation and service organization.
  • Develop and execute financial objectives and operating plan initiatives, including client satisfaction and retention, associate satisfaction and retention, and staff development/retention initiatives.

Experience. You have 15+ years of experience in relevant skills gained and developed in the same or similar role.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:

  • Proven success with setting and executing complex multi-year strategic plans across multiple functions that elevate client experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in a client services leadership role, preferably in the Implementation, Tax, Payroll, and HR outsourcing areas.
  • Enterprise level experience defining, executing, and driving strategy, business transformation, and change management.
  • Experience managing client relationships, including acting as an escalation point.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of successful stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Experienced with motivating others; highly collaborative; superior business acumen and judgment, conflict resolution skills.
  • Able to work effectively under time-constraint pressures and lead in a flexible, constantly changing environment.
  • You will have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

For additional comfortability in the role:

  • Experience managing senior-level client relationships.
  • MBA
