POSITION TITLE: Senior Director, Analytics

LOCATION: Remote US

This position reports to our global HQ in Cambridge, MA and is fully remote within the US. Travel is expected when needed.

Our Research and Data Solutions Team is led by internationally recognized experts in RWD and RWE. We create datasets and conduct research studies to generate insights and evidence around disease progression, treatment patterns, and disease burden, and support clinical trials, labeling, safety and effectiveness studies, and reimbursement discussions.

Who we are looking for:

Reporting directly to the Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) of TriNetX, the Senior Director of Analytics will lead the analytics function of the Research and Data Solutions team. The Senior Director of Analytics will manage a team of analysts and will collaborate closely with senior leadership to align analytics initiatives with the company and team's strategic goals. This role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the analytics team, focused on efficient project implementation and feasibility assessments based on robust SOPs and best practices.

What you will be doing:

  • Build, lead, and mentor a team of analysts, providing guidance, support, and oversight on project implementation and feasibility assessments and empower them to achieve peak performance and meet strategic business objectives.


  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture, promoting continuous learning and professional development.


  • Provide technical guidance to analytics team and identify opportunities for training and improvement.


  • Develop and execute a comprehensive analytics strategy that supports the team's business objectives.


  • Design and update comprehensive QA/QC processes.


  • Develop and implement standardized, repeatable, and efficient tools and coding programs.


  • Partner with our Sales Team to engage with external clients, assess their specific needs, and propose data and analytic solutions to meet those needs; oversee team supporting feasibility assessments.


  • Collaborate with Product, IT, and other teams to build out new product features, and enhance data infrastructure and technology capabilities.


  • Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies, ensuring the organization remains competitive in its analytics capabilities.


  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of analytics initiatives.


  • Continuously assess and refine analytics processes to optimize performance and enhance operational efficiency.


  • Serve as a programming SME.


  • May serve as the primary or validation analyst for client-facing observational studies and datasets.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • 10+ years in analytics, data management, or a related field, including at least 5 years in a managerial role.


  • Master's degree in statistics/biostatistics or other quantitative discipline (doctoral degree preferred).


  • Experience with real-world data (e.g., EMR, open and closed insurance claims) and implementing complex methodologies for the conduct of observational studies.


  • Strong programming skills in SAS and either R or Python.


  • Prior management experience, with the ability to effectively oversee and mentor individual team members.


  • Prior experience with regulatory submissions is preferred.


  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with sales and/or marketing team members to engage with external clients a plus.


  • Strong ability to plan, organize, and execute multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.


  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey programming specifications, database benefits and limitations, study results, and other data-specific and analytical information in a clear, concise manner to internal and external stakeholders.
