About the role

We are seeking a driven, highly accountable individual to join our Vendor Management team. This position requires establishing and maintaining strategic partnerships with stakeholders to ensure vendor risks are appropriately identified, evaluated and incorporated into decisions related to the vendor relationship. Responsibilities may include evaluating vendors based on their risk profiles, monitoring vendor performance, assisting in the identification of risk and engaging necessary stakeholders on developing a mitigation plan, and improving vendor lifecycle processes. This person will engage across business lines and with various risk SMEs to coordinate vendor risk management activities and ensure vendor-associated risks align with enterprise risk tolerance.

The Zillow Vendor Management program is evolving to support Zillow's growth. We are looking for an experienced candidate to lead vendor management program changes, who is comfortable taking initiative with minimal direction and flourishes with taking on ambitious projects. You will help drive key vendor management initiatives to completion through close collaboration with key business partners and compliance leaders. As the Senior Vendor Management Analyst you will:

  • Work closely with Procurement, Legal, Finance, Information Security, and other departments to ensure seamless coordination in vendor management activities.
  • Focus on the continuous improvement of vendor management processes, with the goals of increased efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Develop vendor management reports to monitor key performance indicators, risks, and compliance, such as monthly/quarterly reports on vendor performance compared to SLAs, risk reduction efforts, and Zillow's comprehensive vendor risk profile.
  • Engage in and drive the full vendor lifecycle including risk assessment, due diligence, and ongoing monitoring with a key focus on task execution and providing support for strategies, procedures, and systems.
  • Support executive and quarterly business vendor reviews to assess performance and strategic alignment with our more strategic and critical vendors.
  • Monitor vendor service level agreement (SLA) tracking to ensure vendor compliance and performance standards.
  • Participate in regulated vendor management activities to ensure adherence to financial services regulations and requirements.
  • Coordinate and support vendor audits, both internal and external.
  • Deliver vendor performance results, including SLAs, metrics, and scorecards to Zillow business line leadership.
  • Research and validate vendor compliance with vendor management policy; help model and advance effective, efficient, and compliant workflows.

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. "Remote" employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.

In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $81,200.00 - $129,800.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC and may not be applicable to other locations.

In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

Who you are

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in vendor management roles for medium to large enterprises with a strong understanding of risk oversight tools and vendor management standard methodologies.
  • High level of proficiency with contract terms and conditions.
  • Proven ability to track vendor performance metrics and effectively manage underperforming vendors.
  • Understanding of sourcing and procurement processes.
  • Demonstrable experience establishing baseline metrics and setting ambitious goals. You can monitor progress and support the visualization of data and have solid project management skills.
  • Experience in developing strategies and processes for improving vendor management programs, and guiding organizations through dynamic change.
  • Strong executive communication skills, both written and verbal, advocating for organizational solutions that align with internal and external interests.
  • Demonstrates a passion for seeking internal business partner relationships.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficient in Google Workspace applications, Tableau, Asana, Workday Financials, Auditboard TPRM, and Workday Strategic Sourcing.
  • Certifications: Certified Vendor Management Professional (CVMP), Certified Regulatory Vendor Program Manager (CRVPM), Certified Supplier Management Professional (CSMP), or Certified Third-Party Risk Professional (CTPRP).
  • Familiarity with third party risk management programs and oversight best practices, specific to the financial services industry.
