What will you be doing?

The Employee Relations Manager serves as a trusted advisor to both leaders and employees. This role will be responsible for handling formal investigations and employee relations concerns. Serves as an Employee Relations (ER) subject matter expert and point of escalation for leaders, HR Business Partners (HRBP's) and employees. This role will be responsible for helping to ensure the timely, quality, and compassionate resolution of investigations and escalated high-risk consultations. In this capacity, may also provide thought partnership and guidance to HR Business Partners (HRBP's), and leaders.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leads formal investigations ensuring compliance with all federal state and local laws
  • Handles and resolves complex employee relations concerns and follow up and guidance on resolution
  • Partners with HRBP's and legal to ensure consistency and align on HR practices
  • Works with leaders to propose and advise on people strategies
  • Documents cases and works with the Sr. Employee Relations Manager and legal on any litigation
  • Ensures timely and quality resolution of consultations, as well as the appropriate escalation of high-risk and critical consultations to the Sr. Employee Relations Manager or legal

  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years in HR Business Partner Role Preferred
  • Possesses expert communication skills, including written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal
  • Proven strength in building partnerships; working collaboratively in a matrix; with proven influencing skills
  • Exercises independent, informed and considered judgment with moderate supervision
  • Analyzes data to identify trends and make recommendations to management
  • Possesses strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills, with high attention to detail
  • Applies strong critical thinking skills to identify solutions to difficult problems
  • Proficient PC skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) through HRCI preferred
  • SHRM-CP preferred
