Job Title: Network Engineer
Location: Millford, OH
Total Experience: 5+ Years
Wipro is looking for a Network Engineer with experience with Palo Alto and Cisco ASA Firewalls to join our client's team in Milford Ohio. This position is responsible for the design, configuration and implementation of the Cisco based network and Palo Alto Next Generation firewalls infrastructure refresh. The engineer must have strong engineering and implementation skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for, under minimal supervision, the planning and design, implementation and support of client network including Cisco routers and switches, Palo Alto and Cisco ASA firewalls
- Create and maintain firewall policies including application based L7 and L3
- Shadow rule cleanup, cloning and moving rules
- Configure and maintain routing on firewalls
- Perform Best Practice Assessment and next steps to implement
- Monitor firewall performance and integrity
- Resolve issues through troubleshooting and inspection of infrastructure
- Implement routing in Azure using User Defined routes and VNet peering
- Configure and maintain Global Protect & IPsec VPN
- Configure and troubleshoot Threat Prevention
- Experience with Palo Alto HA deployments on-prem and in Azure
- Maintain URL filtering
- Able to perform backup and recovery and OS updates of Palo Alto VM Firewalls
- Packet capture analysis and troubleshooting
- Thorough understanding of TCP/IP and the OSI model
- Conversant with procedures, such as change management and revision control
- Maintain complete technical documentation

- Strong communication skill and capability to work under the direction of Senior Azure Cloud Engineers
- Strong documentation skills

- Timely and accurate communication
- Need to demonstrate the ownership for the technical issues and engage the right stakeholders for timely resolution
