You'll be a troubleshooter extraordinaire, diagnosing and repairing complex equipment, software, and systems with ease. Nothing will be too challenging for you to solve as you respond to escalated issues, report critical design flaws, reliability and maintenance problems, and bugs.

As Network Engineer you'll perform varying degrees of problem determination and resolution expertise and available resources to ensure that our customers' issues are resolved efficiently and effectively.

You will develop a deep understanding of the local and regional infrastructure, as well as key contacts in other competencies, which will enable you to ensure that the proper team is aware of - and taking action on the problem.

Who You Are

Responsibilities:

  • Install, support, maintain and troubleshoot data center networking equipment
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting of Data Center networking solutions
  • Provide on call support as required
  • Assist Architecture team in the design and implementation of equipment supporting new projects as required
  • Provide guidance and leadership to less experienced engineers.
  • Interface with vendors, third party partners, carriers, end-users, and internal engineering departments to maintain and provide a highly available and reliable network infrastructure
  • Work with minimal supervision and instruction on routine work, and develop implementation approaches on new assignments

Required Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 5-7 years of experience supporting enterprise networks in a Data Center environment.
  • Network Expertise: Deep expertise and experience in working with firewalls and load balancers.
  • Cybersecurity Practices: Knowledge of Bitwarden cybersecurity practices, including encryption, secure password management, and overall cybersecurity best practices.
  • DDI Management: Deep understanding of managing DNS, DHCP, and IP address management (IPAM).
  • Troubleshooting Skills: Ability to perform complex troubleshooting, including capturing and analyzing network packet traces.
  • Monitoring Tools: Experience with monitoring tools such as LogicMonitor, and understanding of network, server, and application monitoring, including SNMP, WMI, and other protocols. Proficiency in scripting and data interpretation.
  • Network Mapping: Experience with NetBrain, including knowledge of network mapping and visualization tools for dynamic network environments, as well as expertise in diagnosing and troubleshooting network issues using tools like traceroute and packet capture.
  • Authentication & Authorization: Understanding of AAA (Authentication, Authorization, Accounting) principles and their application in network security.
  • Cisco Networking: Strong knowledge of Cisco networking devices and the implementation of TACACS+ for securing access.
  • Tools Knowledge for: Infoblox, Netbrain, Logic Monitor and Bitwarden
  • Experience creating network designs, including LANs, WANs, and intranets, to meet business goals.
  • Oversee the installation of network hardware and software, ensuring everything is configured correctly.
  • Proficiency in network hardware and software, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and knowledge of network security protocols.

Preferred

  • Cisco CCNP or higher certification preferred or any other related certification
