Hours: Mon-Fri 8am- 5pm EST (Should be available to support customer outside of working hours as needed for immediate downtimes)

Position Summary:

Required to support customer with engineering work related to Cisco hardware including, switches, routers, WAN/LAN, SDWAN and WLANs and network. This position will also support Cisco, Meraki devices, and LAN/WAN. As a Network Data Engineer, you will use your knowledge of network IP routing and subnets, designing custom VLANs designs and migration of services to IPV6.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Support customer with downtime, manage incidents, perform periodic updates on customer devices
  • Support escalation needs
  • Build custom reports
  • Perform on-site and remote health checks
  • Process changes and support projects.
  • Change control compliance.
  • Update tickets and assorted admin work.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 4+ years of experience working with voice and data
  • Knowledge of Routing/ Switching/ Telco-Transport Layer/ Mobility and ISP environments
  • Knowledge of IP and Enterprise Network
  • Knowledge and troubleshooting experience with Cisco hardware including, switches, routers, WAN/LAN, SDWAN and WLANs and network.
  • Good knowledge of Cisco, Meraki devices experience and network knowledge in managing LAN/WAN.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Resourceful, with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong time management skills and attention to detail

Preferences:

  • Prior networking experience in the telecom domain (AT&T, Verizon etc.) for enterprise customers.
