Role & Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of Backup Administrators and provide Production Support.
- Handle escalated incidents and critical tickets.
- Anticipate and Predict Risks / Impact on Production Environment and handle Major Changes.
- Design, Migration, and upgradation of existing Backup Infrastructure.
- Analyze, customize, and optimize data protection infrastructure to meet RTO and RPO requirements.
- Periodic and scheduled reporting of backup success rates/KPI metrics.
- Ensure compliance with client and organization processes and policies.
- Patching and Upgrade of Backup software and hardware.
- Conduct annual data protection assurance assessments.
- Pro-active analysis and avoidance of data backup and recovery failures.
- Create, edit, delete, and optimize automation jobs.
- Regular stocktaking and provision of information for performance and capacity planning.
- Manage Tape libraries and Disk storages.
- Manage scheduled tape rotation activities.
- Continuous improvements and Cost optimization.
- Root Cause Analysis.
Requirements:
- Expert in design, configuration, and implementation of Backup Solutions (IBM Spectrum Protect Plus Implementation and Administration).
- Strong troubleshooting skills in Backup Infrastructure and advanced problem-solving skills.
- Strong knowledge of SAP HANA DB, Oracle DB and SQL DB Backup and Configuration.
- People management and skills development.
- Own and Drive Service Improvement plans.
- ITIL Certification preferred.
- Good on documentation and presentation skills.
