Role

This role will form part of the in -house Compliance Team. The Compliance Counsel will be required to manage and take ownership for the regulatory compliance function for designated geographies (India and beyond), provide expert compliance management, advice and training in the areas of Employment Law, Immigration Law & Data Protection Laws. Role dimensions of a Associate Corporate Counsel: - Oversee compliance with Employment Law, Immigration Law & Data Protection Laws in relation to IT services activities undertaken in various geographies in the world. - Develop, maintain and execute an annual risk based compliance plan - Work with the business to ensure activities are conducted in conformity with all applicable laws, regulations and internal policies. Provides strategic legal counselling to management at HR level - Keep abreast of regulatory changes, market developments and industry initiatives ensuring that appropriate actions are taken to address potential compliance impacts for the IT business - Proactively absorb new regulatory developments to create digestible and precise analysis - Day-to-day management and ongoing development of the business' compliance function - Monitor, support and co-ordinate activities where registrations, licenses and approvals are in place for areas of law referred above - Manage the in-house compliance monitoring programme
