About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a seasoned and experienced leader, who will be hired as a Technology Director in the CTO organization to lead a Global Operations team supporting Critical, Enterprise-wide Infrastructure Hosting and support for more than 125,000 Servers (Linux, Unix, Windows), 200,000 Virtual Machines, ~500+ PB's of Storage, Backup, Mainframe.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage a large enterprise distributed systems administration team with a global, 24x7 enterprise scope.
  • Define the strategic direction of the organization, ensuring industry leading engineering/maintenance practices, processes and controls are implemented, optimized, and maintained and working cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Risk and Compliance teams.
  • Ensure secure & agile processes and services are implemented across the enterprise and throughout the configuration, delivery, and support of the infrastructure.
  • Manage a team of engineering managers and engineering leads
  • Guide development of actionable roadmaps and plans
  • Identify financial management and strategic resourcing
  • Set risk management guidelines and partner with stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives
  • Develop strategies for hiring engineering talent
  • Lead implementation of projects and encourage engineering innovation
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Technology Strategic Leadership
  • Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy

  • 8+ years of Technology Strategic Leadership experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of Management experience
Desired Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in related field.
  • Experience managing a private or public cloud-based platform.
  • Experience in a formal structured engineering organization building and/or deploying software and hardware targeted at infrastructure environments and needs
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and leading people directly in top tier organization.
  • Mindset and drive to enable truly impactful and transformational initiatives despite roadblocks expected in large business. Data-driven mindset and an aptitude for technology.
