BGV is an NGO, dedicated to providing Black/Brown woman-identifying founders with access to community, capital, and capacity building in order to meet business milestones that lead to economic advancement through entrepreneurship.
For our Director of Marketing, we're looking for:
Responsibilities:
Directs and oversees BGV’s marketing communications function.
Develops strategies related to the dissemination of information meant to drive profitability of BGV’s services.
Manages the work of a team that drafts marketing communications, including promotional publications, presentations, advertisements, or brochures.
Reviews and edits content to ensure that they are clear, thorough, on-brand, and seek to preserve BGv’s image.

Defines target audiences and tailors content and delivery channels.
Collects data on the performance of specific communications or campaigns and modifies strategies to improve performance.
Involved from concepts and principles
Contributes to strategic planning, direction, and goal setting for the Marketing department in collaboration with executive management.
Establishes departmental policies, practices, and procedures that have a significant impact on the organization.
Responsible for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, etc.
Other duties as assigned.

Minimum 5 years relevant work experience.
Preference for Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations or Business Administration
Preference for demonstrated interest in inclusive innovation or other diversity-related issues.
Ability to show initiative and work well as part of a small team.
Strong management skills.
Ability to influence others.
