About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a lead software engineer who is primarily an APIGEE SME.
Responsibilities
- The API Gateway requires subject matter expertise in the Apigee product, which is a niche solution from Google.
- API APIGEE - Configuration and administration experience.
- This engineering role will engage in the delivery of API gateway solutions necessary for the API Platform and Product Roadmap, including migrating APIs from legacy Datapower instances to APIGEE.
- API Gateway Platform Development for availability, scalability and resiliency aspects.
- Responsible to work closely with stakeholders to ensure delivery of Product roadmap.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert in recommending newer technology practices and upgrading systems as required by market and organization frameworks.
- Engage with Architecture and product teams to deliver frequent releases and materializing proof of concepts to product roadmaps.
- Drive Micro Services Architecture patterns implementation.
- Experience with API Life Cycle Management, in depth experience on various API Life Cycle Management products
- Define API strategy and execution including service virtualization
- Developing and publishing APIs
- Creating API product bundles
- Register app developers
- Register developer apps
- Provide documentation and community support for APIs
- Enhancement and/or maintenance of existing API's
- Work on security aspects such as authorization, authentication, certificates, encryption (MTLS and OAuth)
- Support Hybrid deployment model using APIGEE
- Configuring APIs and API Proxies.
- Manage API lifecycle
- Configuring routes and flows
- Deploying programmable and configurable proxies
- Performing monitoring and health checks
- APIGEE Operations and configuration
- Configuring Edge
- Managing users, Roles and permissions
- Managing backup and restore
- Administer network configuration
- Security administration
- Configuring data collectors
- Experience with Event driven architecture patterns and experience in Apache kafka tool.
- Experience with Restful services, Middleware, Enterprise Service Bus
- Experience with CICD

- Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact
- Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large-scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines
- Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs
- Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors
- Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives

- 14+ years of experience in Software Engineering, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
